Welcome to Command Line Fundamentals!

Before we dive into things, it's important we understand the context of what we're about to do. We're about to run a "computer" on our computer!

First we'll start with learning about virtualization and what exactly that entails. Then, we're going to be installing some applications onto our computers to help us perform this task, and like magic we'll have Linux on our machine! Specifically we'll have a distribution of Linux, known as Kali Linux (often considered the gold standard in offensive security).

Although we'll introduce you to virtualization so you understand the tools you'll be using, your primary focus throughout this section will be to get comfortable with the Linux command line: a skill quintessential for any security professional.
